PETER KINGSTON   Australia  1943 -

In an illustrious career spanning 40 years Peter Kingston has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most intriguing artists of his generation, probing the possibilities inherent in film making, pop cartoons and other satirical constructions as well as producing limited edition prints at Marnling Press and Whaling Road Studio. He has exhibited widely with more than 30 solo exhibitions and 80 group exhibitions, including a two-person show with Martin Sharp, ‘Notes from the River Caves’ at the AGNSW in 2006, Represented in Sydney and Melbourne by Australian Galleries Kingston’s work is held in various public collections including the NGA, most State and Regional Galleries, the Museum of Sydney, the Mitchell Library, the National Film Library in Tokyo and the Bibliotheque de la Ville in Belgium. - Born in Sydney in 1943, Kingston lives and works in Lavender Bay.
